BF Goodrich Tire LT275/60R20, All Terrain T/A KO2

The All Terrain T/A KO2 is the second generation of the All Terrain T/A KO tire that is made by BF Goodrich.  This is an on and off road tire for light trucks that was developed in order to meet the needs of SUV, pickup truck and Jeep drivers who want control and confidence regardless of the terrain.  This tire has been designed to deliver traction anywhere and it has great wear, outstanding durability and traction that is dependable all year long – even in the snow.

This tire features a tread compound that has been race inspired and is resistant to tears, chips and cuts.  It delivers a long life as well – up to twice as long as the earlier generation on gravel roads.  The tread compound has been molded into a computer optimized, aggressive, high void pattern that is good on all terrains.  It has tread blocks that are interlocking, siping that is innovative and multiple features that eject loose objects so that you get off road traction and durability that has been combined with acceptable noise levels and great handling on the highway.

The Side wall Armor on the upper shoulder is a tougher rubber compound for the sidewall that is twice as thick as the one used in the earlier generation.  There are also Side Biter lugs that give you more traction by delivering the clawing type of action that is critical in developing traction as well as steering control in sand or dirt that is deep or even on rocks when the tire has been aired down.

The internal structure of this tire includes a pair of steel belts that have been reinforced with nylon that has been wrapped spirally around them.  This is on top of the side wall that consists of 3 plies of polyester.  What this means to you is that you get total durability and strength.

Simply put, if you are the type who enjoys tearing it up off road, then this is the tire you want.
